PLANT FOODS AND SUPPLEMENTS

Lawn Police Rapid Lime
Size options:
Wally's Rapid Lime

This product comes in small pellets/balls (rather than a powder) that break down and release the fine particles to the soil life and plants. That makes it more user friendly. Calcium plays an important part in plant growth and nutrition. It helps to maintain the chemical balance in the soil, reduce salinity, and improve water penetration. Calcium is also the fuel that feeds the soil life.
An ongoing supply is the key, so a number of smaller applications is preferable to the usual big winter dose. A few grams per square meter every 3 months or so is ideal.

Lawn Police Fruit and Flower Power
Size options:

Fruit and Flower Power

(Blended Potassium and Magnesium)

Commercial growers of plants and orchardists use certain products to ensure their plants have sufficient potassium and magnesium. A potassium deficiency is indicated by limp plant growth, poor flowering, taste decline in fruit, and a general lack of vigor. The first symptoms of a magnesium deficiency are a yellowing , usually between the veins in older leaves. Magnesium is involved in chlorophyll production.
Use at a rate of 50g (1 scoop) per square meter, sprinkled around the base of the plants, or around the drip line to liven up your suffering plants. After that 25g per month while flowering/fruiting, and once every 2-3 months outside that time.

3kg pack $33.50 includes postage

Lawn Police BioPhos
Size options:

BioPhos

(A safe replacement to Super Phosphate)

Super Phosphate has been heavily used in agriculture in the past, with good results in the short term. Unfortunately Super kills soil life and with their demise the plants health is adversely affected. Worse than that, it was discovered that Super laden plants and grasses caused health problems in stock including cancers.
But phosphorus is very important to plants as it is essential for stimulating budding and blooming. Unfortunately phosphorus doesn't breakdown easily and the soil tends to hang onto it not releasing it into water. So how do we break down the rock phosphate without employing the Super Phosphate process using sulfuric acid?
BioPhos supplies new micro-organisms to the soil which carry on breaking down the phosphorus in a natural way. This means one application per season.
BioPhos is Bio certified for organic growing.
BioPhos contains phosphate, potassium, sulphur and calcium (P10:K8:S7:Ca28)
For new beds and lawns use at a rate of 100g per square metre and water in. Use as a side dressing for seedlings (8g around base), roses (18g around base or in planting hole), potatoes, beans, peas etc (sprinkle down the row with seeds),established fruit trees etc at 100g per square metre around drip line
