This is the page where I get to say thanks to some of the people who helped me out, and put in links to their websites in return for that help...
Normally a company would employ a web designer to get a website up and running for them, and they would put their little tag at the bottom of each page to advertise their services.
I thought I would have a crack at it myself. It's a kiwi thing - that, and I'm a bit tight. With hindsight, I should have had someone do it for me. I was a bit outside my 'comfort zone', but a few weeks of working late into the night (largely assisted by Robert Harris coffee) climbing a very steep learning curve, this site is the result.
So onto to thanking some people - it's a bit like watching the credits at the end of a movie, but sometimes there's a name in there that's of interest ...
Firstly
- these people are fantastic! If you need a host your new website then this is the place - their support is absolutely amazing. I always had a reply within a couple of minutes of submitting a query (there were some, as I was a bit green, and didn't have a clue!). Huge spec for the money too!
- really useful for those who struggle with the 'HELP' section in Dreamweaver 8 ... like me!
- excellent for additional freeware fonts etc
- that's the clever little picture that shows up in your browser address bar - it's a nice touch!
Also, Uncle Dave - he checked to see if I had not made a complete balls-up of the site.
And finally, Margarite, for furnishing me with coffee and food, while I gazed into the computer screen (or middle distance).
